Yoga by the River—Past Agenda

​Schedule:
9:15-9:45am: Guest arrival
Guests are welcomed with light refreshments, locally-crafted welcome bags, and a lavender eye pillow for the restorative and yoga nidra sessions.

9:45-11:45am: Morning Yoga
In the morning session we will take advantage of the cooler air to engage in an invigorating yet nourishing all-levels practice including standing poses, twists and backbends, allowing nature to open us up to the deeper essence of who we are.  The practice will be followed by a 30-minute meditation letting the surroundings bring us into stillness.

12:00-1:30pm: Lunch & Wellness Activities
Enjoy a variety of vegetarian, gluten-free and meat-lover options. Our menu uses local, organic ingredients.

Wellness Offerings:
> 15-minute massage. Quiet your mind and relax your body.
Let our local therapists reenergize you for the afternoon. 
 >  45-minute nature walk. Follow the meandering riverside trail to Saddle Meadow. Enjoy the breathtaking views and the tranquility of the Little Truckee valley.  

2pm-4:00pm: Afternoon Yoga 
After lunch the practice will include somatic movement and restorative poses to not only nurture the body, but to prepare you for yoga nidra, yoga sleep. Yoga nidra works on the deeper levels of consciousness, which can be greatly effective in helping to repattern the nervous system so one can feel peaceful and at ease with life.

4:15-5:30pm: Après Yoga
After a complete day of self-restoration enjoy a hosted Kombucha and tea bar from local breweries, light appetizers, and music.  Guests who did not receive a massage during lunch are able to enjoy one during the Après yoga time.  ​

The natural beauty of the Sierra high country inspires peace in an always-connected world.  Join us on the banks of the Little Truckee River where clean mountain air and a serene atmosphere will help you truly experience your yoga practice, leaving you restored and renewed.


In the last 18 years of practice and 10 years of teaching, Shari has learned so much about herself and has found that this life is all one big journey of Self Love. She has studied with master teachers for the last 10 years, with over 1000 hours of Teacher Training, and is passionate about teaching alignment to help students connect to their bodies, mind and heart. She brings together fellow healers to teach workshops and retreats with her in Tahoe and around the world. Shari is a principle instructor at the Squaw Valley Wanderlust studio and leads Wanderlust Teacher Training Workshops.
